COMING SOON!!

I am on my way to starting my own chocolate truffle company. I put up this website so that I have a start for when I am ready to sell.

THE PLAN:

My truffles will be simple. I like to keep it simple. No extra, unneccesary ingredients. Just chocolate, cream, and whatever flavors I decide on.

WHAT I HAVE SO FAR:

I have business cards, a website, and a plan.

WHAT I NEED:

Packaging and flavor ideas.
(Ok, I know I have a long road ahead of me to get started with all this. I hope to be up and running by the end of the summer.)

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

I am 28 years old. I am a mother and a wife since 2004.
I went to culinary school in 1999 and I have worked in kitchens for 10+ years. I left the culinary world to raise my family. I have always had a passion for cooking and baking. It wasn't that long ago that I discovered a passion for truffle making. It is a task that requires love and patience. It is truly gratifying.

One Christmas, I decided to make truffles as gifts for my family. In past years I had made stockings for each person, but this one year, truffles sounded like fun. And who doesn't like chocolate, right? Well, 200+ truffles later, I passed them out to all my relatives, giving each person a nice healthy bag of my signature chocolates. I thought they turned out rather well and gave me that "eyes roll back in your head" good feeling. But, the reaction I got from my family was even better. They ate them up, and wondered where there were more!  I was glad to hear they enjoyed the truffles so much. I enjoy making them, but it is even more gratifying when someone enjoys eating them!
Fast forward one more year and there was talk..."is she going to make them again this year?". Well, turns out I was pretty broke and cut the chocolate out of the budget. My family was a bit disappointed. But, when I told them that I wanted to start a business up and that I would need "testers", well they perked right up again.

My family is a big part of my life. I can honestly say that I would not be where I am at today, enjoying life, without them.
They have always been honest and supportive. Anything that I accomplish requires a big thank you to them as well.

kunrath1@yahoo.com is my email. Please email me with thoughts, ideas, and suggestions. I know there are a lot of different chocolatiers out there. What do you think they are lacking? What flavor would you like to see in a truffle? What is your favorite kind of chocolate? And anything else you think I should know.

Thanks for visiting! And I hope to be feeding you chocolate very soon!
